Male Leaders generally have little trouble making their demands known. If they are assertive and perhaps sometimes a little aggressive, they’re just being the boss. Such behavior doesn’t label them as anything but a gung-ho, can-do manager who gets the job done. High-stakes conversations and talking about what really matters rarely suffer from such a reputation. Indeed, I don’t see anything wrong with it.

However, if you are a female Leader, you have something of a challenge ahead of you. The glass ceiling that once kept women out of the executive suite is shattering. Some industries are more progressive than others. Still, there’s a double standard for interpreting the different ways men women communicate.
