We know that in baseball, if a batter can make a small change to his swing – something that leads to just one or two more hits in 30 tries at bat – he can be worth millions of dollars more in the market. The same principle applies in leadership. We are going to look for that one simple discipline, behavior, or habit that – if you start doing it, do it more, stop doing it, or doing it less – can make a huge difference. We will also explore what it really takes to make a new behavior a habit.
